A WW2 German, 5cm Mortar Ammunition box/trunk, complete with markings on the lid, two working latches and a lockable latch in the centre. The box/trunk is missing one of the metal carrying handles (right hand side).
The German maker’s mark is stamped on the side of the box, along with the Wehrmacht stamp.
A coin found within the box, is from Jersey and may be indicative of where the ammo box was found.
